Mom: Okay, then please go in the living room and take off your shoes.
Andrew: No.
Mom: Well, then you won't be able to help me cook.

Mom: If you want to cook, please go in the living room and take off your shoes.
Andrew: [goes to living room and returns 3 minutes later with his shoes on]
Mom: Andrew, did you take off your shoes?
Andrew: Yeah.
