The air conditioning at Andrew's school broke early Friday afternoon. They were able to move all the kids to the one cool place for naps, but that spot had just enough space for everyone to sleep, not to play. The email to all the parents said it wasn't mandatory that we pick the kids up early but made clear that our little munchkins would be getting the benefits of both a preschool and a sweat lodge after nap. I caved quickly under the mounting guilt and picked him up at 3pm, shortly after he woke up. I had lots of Important Lawyer Stuff to do, so that left just one option.
At first he was content to color and eat cookies from my neighbor's cache of Thin Mints. Then he needed some electronic distraction, so I set him up watching himself on YouTube.
He escaped not long after that. Look closely at Andrew's right calf and you'll see what had happened when he was still coloring in my office and I turned my attention to an Important Lawyer Email.
It's possible he was calling CPS.
And although I reprimanded him, I was having the kind of day where I wanted to bang stuff too.
The A/C better be working on Monday.

I let Trey stay the entire time - guess I should feel guilty.
